  10.     i got the newest fuck file in the mail today.
  11.     number 360. the color of my thoughts quickly
  12.     turned grey as i read about the things that
  13.     d1s had to thank his friends for. i had a
  14.     realization.
  15.  
  16.     no one can live in your reality with you, no
  17.     matter how much you try to describe it to them.
  18.     analyzing someone else's existence is like
  19.     trying to make sense out of an escher drawing,
  20.     it is simply an impossibility. each one of us
  21.     lives in his own escher cage, and no else can
  22.     truely touch you. they can only guess at the
  23.     solution to the puzzle.

  25.     you might wonder how this file caused me to
  26.     come to this conclusion. well, i admit it was a
  27.     convoluted train of thought. i read the file
  28.     and thought about the things i had to thank
  29.     my friends for, and quickly realized how
  30.     incongruent my experience is to his. he thanks
  31.     his friends for being there for him, for
  32.     helping him, for teaching him about life. i
  33.     have no understanding of his reality because
  34.     my existence is so truly mine. my friendships
  35.     have taught me that i need to fend for myself,
  36.     that trust is there to be shattered, that
  37.     your only constant friend is yourself, and
  38.     that love is often a lie. i cannot understand
  39.     him, and he cannot understand me. you probably
  40.     think that i am just cynical, but that is my
  41.     point. this is the escher cage.

  43.     there are some exceptions. shakespeare
  44.     understood the human experience. there is no
  45.     one on earth who cannot find their own thoughts
  46.     and feelings in at least one line in one play.
  47.     joseph campbell spent his life on unified
  48.     experience. truths can be found in his
  49.     writings as well. and once in a lifetime,
  50.     you just might find the Other, the One Who
  51.     Knows, but i think that this must be rare. i
  52.     won't hold my breath.
